Minister for education Sakina Itoo

J&K Health and Education Minister Sakina Itoo on Thursday called for a transparent investigation into the alleged NEET-UG paper leak, demanding strict punishment for all those involved regardless of their influence or position.

Speaking to reporters, Itoo said the fraud had deeply affected students who spent years preparing for one of the country's most competitive examinations, adding that malpractice in such exams amounted to playing with the futures of deserving candidates.

On the downsizing of government vehicles, she said everyone should contribute if a measure helps address the country's problems. She also clarified that no decision had been taken on shifting to virtual education.
