A truck driver from Pampore, Pulwama, died on Monday after his vehicle overturned near Nachlana in Banihal tehsil, Ramban district, on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44).
The deceased, Mohammad Zafar, was found trapped in the overturned vehicle by police and rescue teams. He succumbed to critical injuries before he could be shifted for medical care. The body was moved to Sub-District Hospital Banihal for medico-legal formalities.
Police have initiated proceedings to determine the cause of the accident.
