The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has forecast unsettled weather across Jammu and Kashmir over the coming week, with rain, thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds expected at scattered places.

The region is likely to see partly to generally cloudy conditions with light rain, brief intense showers and thunderstorm activity through June 17, followed by generally cloudy weather on June 18 and 19 with isolated light rain or showers.

The MeT has also warned of possible hailstorms at isolated places, along with gusty winds of 40-50 kmph, occasionally touching 60 kmph, during thunderstorm activity.

Authorities have advised residents, farmers, travelers and outdoor workers to remain vigilant and take precautions against lightning strikes and localized flooding in vulnerable areas.
