Srinagar, Nov 13 : Director Sher-i-Kashmir International Convention Centre, (SKICC), Bakshi Javid Humayun has said that they are satisfied with the performance they have shown till today, however, efforts are always in place to make SKICC more advanced.
While talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), he said that since the SKICC is a convention center of all major events of national and international standards, it was challenging to manage the events during Covid-19.
“During the Covid-19, we had many events, under proper guidelines and SOPs, luckily not a single case was reported from the SKICC. The entire staff of SKICC is fully vaccinated to ensure the safety of our guests,” he said.
He said that he is thankful of LG administration, for showing their trust in them, by allowing events to take place at the SKICC. “We are well satisfied with the performance,” he said.
He also said that the SKICC is a place for all major events, so it is always challenging to work, organise, and they have very well experienced staff to ensure uninterrupted service.
ln winter’s it becomes little difficult for us to manage the events, but so far not a single case of any untoward has been recorded,” he said. (KNS)
