Police on Thursday claimed that it arrested three persons along with narcotic substance in Kralgund area of Handwara.
According to a statement issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), reads that, in order to contain the menace of illicit sale of narcotics, Handwara Police recovered charas like substance and arrested three persons.
A police party of Police Station Kralgund while on naka checking at Rasripora on Baramulla-Handwara road apprehended three persons who had attempted to evade the police party in a suspicious manner. On search, around 306 grams of Charas like substance was recovered from their possession.
The persons have been identified as 1. Asif Rasool Khan S/o Gh Rasool Khan; 2. Arif Ahmad Najar S/o Ab Aziz both residents of Beigpora Kralgund and, 3. Muzafar Ahmad Bhat S/o Reyaz Ahmad R/o Kralgund.
FIR No.26/2022 under relevant section of NDPS Act has been registered at PS Kralgund, accused arrested and investigation initiated.
The general public is requested to share information related to drug peddling so that appropriate action under law can be initiated.(KNS)
