Peopleโ€™s Democratic a Party president Mehbooba Mufti on Thursday said that Kashmir has become a battle field and as along as there is no dialogue, there will be no stability in Jammu and Kashmir, that Centre should start a dialogue with Pakistan.

While addressing party workers at Srinagar, she said that Kashmir has become a battleground and it will continue as long as the central government will hold dialogue with Pakistan.

She said that borders of Pakistan do not lie with Kashmir only, but with many parts of the country as well, however, only Jammu and Kashmir is bearing the brunt of violence.

She also said that the central government abolished article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir unconstitutionally and illegally.

“Our party has always sought solutions through dialogue. We wanted peace and tranquility of the people here which Mufti Muhammad Syed was constantly trying to do,” she said. (KNS)
