LG Sinha inspects national highway restoration works

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today visited the Thard Village in Udhampur and reviewed the ongoing restoration works on Srinagar-Jammu National Highway. 

Officials told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that he was briefed by National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) Regional Officer, RS Yadav on the deployment of men and machinery for speedy restoration of the highway.

They said that teams are working round the clock and one lane will be open to traffic soon.

The LG also interacted with the affected families and enquired about their wellbeing.

Earlier, he visited a medical camp organised by the health department at Gujjar and Bakerwal hostel, Jakhani and inspected the healthcare facilities for the flood-affected families—(KNO)
