Weather conditions across Jammu and Kashmir are expected to remain unsettled over the next 36 hours, with fairly widespread rain activity accompanied by intermittent breaks.

Officials said a brief pause in rainfall is likely between late morning and afternoon today, after which showers may redevelop. Overall intensity is expected to remain light to moderate, though isolated areas could witness brief heavy thundershowers.

On Tuesday, weather is likely to stay mostly stable during the first half of the day, with chances of thundershowers developing later in the afternoon and evening. Wednesday is expected to remain largely dry, although higher reaches may receive brief spells of thundershowers.

From Thursday to Saturday, dry conditions are expected to prevail across most parts of the region. However, isolated thundershower activity may occur in areas like Doda, Kishtwar, and parts of south Kashmir, particularly along the Pir Panjal Range, during late afternoon hours on Thursday.
