The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has forecast generally hot and humid weather across Jammu and Kashmir, with scattered rain and thundershowers over the coming days. Heavy rainfall and brief intense showers are likely at isolated places in the Chenab Valley and Pir Panjal range on July 11 and 12.

The MeT Department has warned of possible flash floods, landslides and mudslides in vulnerable areas during the period and advised people to avoid nallas, streams and landslide-prone locations.

Fresh spells of light to moderate rain are expected at many places from July 17 to 19.
