Srinagar, Oct 17 : Curfew-like restrictions have been imposed in some parts of Civil Lines in this summer capital as a precautionary measure since early morning on Tuesday.
Official sources said the restrictions under Section 144 CrPC have been imposed in some areas under police station Maisuma to prevent any law and order problem.
The restrictions in Maisuma, strong hold of separatist organistaion, was imposed following massive clashes between security forces and demonstrators, who were protesting against a braid chopping incident in the area on Monday.
All roads leading to Maisuma and adjoining localities have been closed with barbed wire and a large number of security forces and police personnel have been deployed.
โ€œWe have orders not to allow anybody to enter or leave the Maisuma area,โ€ a security force personnel told UNI.
