Srinagar, May 6: Authorities at Kashmir university postpones all exams scheduled on May 7 and suspended class work on May 7,8.

The decision came in wake of the killing of five militants including Sadam Padder and assistant professor of KU Dr Mohammad Rafi in a gunfight at Badigam Shopian and a teenaged youth Asif Ahmad Mir died in forces action during clashes.

“All Kashmir University examinations scheduled to be held on May 7, 2018 (Monday) are postponed. Fresh dates shall be notified separately, later,” PRO of KU in a statement issued here said.

Class-work at the University of Kashmir shall remain suspended on May 7/8, 2018 (Monday and Tuesday) as a precautionary measure, he said in another separate statement. (GNS)
