Ganderbal: Jammu & Kashmir Rehber Taleem Teachers Forum  held a protest demonstration in Tullamulla, Kangan and Hariganwan  zones of central Kashmirs Ganderbal district for de-linking their salaries from Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) and release of pending salaries.

The teachers from the concerned zones assembled at the  Concerned Zones and were shouting slogans in favour of their demands.

Zonal President J&K ReT forum, Zone Tullamulla Reyaz Ahmad  accused the government of making hollow claims for de-linking salary of SSA teachers and said the delay in release of monthly wages has made their life miserable.

The Zonal President also said besides failure of the government to de-link their salary, it has failed to streamline release of monthly salaries.

“SSA teachers have been without salaries despite performing their duties in tough times,” said Tanveer Ahmad, an RRT teacher who has been in the department from last 8 years.

“We are pushed to wall and our families are facing starvation. The delay in release of salary has made life hell,” one of the ReT Teacher  Mudasir Ahmad  said.

On the occasion, the protesters said they would intensify the protests if their demands are not accepted.
