Ganderbal: Students of most Government run primary and middle schools were forced to study under open sky in forest areas of Ganderbal in central Kashmir after building owners locked their buildings demanding government to fulfill its promise of providing jobs to them.
The government run school building landowners locked most primary and middle schools forcing the teachers and students to return to their homes or to take conduct class work in open sky.
Landowners claimed they donated own lands for government schools after the government promised them permanent jobs in the said schools.
Nizam u din Chohan landowner of Government Middle School Ramwari Gund told Kashmir Reader that he will not allow the school to function until authorities provide a job to his son as promised.
Nizam said that the school was built on his property and he had allowed the construction only after the authorities promised a job to his family. (Agencies)
