Budgam: In what could be called as sheer negligence of Kashmir University authorities, the students appearing in their exam in Degree College Beerwah were yet to receive their question papers even half of the prescribed time was over.
The students of 1stย year in Degree College Beerwah were appearing in Social Work and Computer Science papers on Tuesday.
The students of second semester told Kashmir Reader over phone that they were supposed to appear in Social Work and Computer Science papers today which was scheduled to begin at 10:30 am.
โBut half the time was over and we were yet to receive the question booklets,โ the students alleged.
โIt seems we have been neglected by the KU authorities,โ they added.
โLast year they delayed two papers deliberately and this year we are being forced to sit in exam halls without question booklets,โ the students alleged further.
Official sources from the college said that after communicating the problem to KU examination controller, they send the question paper on WhatsApp and asked to print locally.
โNow after printing them out we will distribute them among students,โ the officials said.
Meanwhile Mohammad Yousuf Bhat, controller examination Kashmir University admitted the negligence and said โit is not deliberate but some students who opt the subject late, get updated late in KU recordsโ.
โSo it is the reason why they did not get question booklet on proper time,โ he said adding โthey have received papers nowโ.(Agencies)
