Tral, 09 Aug : Government forces launched searches and raids in Tral area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district last night following a string of militant attacks on the Special Police Officers (SPOs) in the area.
An official said that forces were deployed in strength across the town in view of the attacks on the SPOs.
He said that barricades were erected at all the entry and exit points of the town while raids were conducted at several suspected places.
On Tuesday evening, suspected militant shot at and injured an SPO Ashiq Hussain Lone of Syedabad.
