Kangan: The students of government higher secondary school Hariganwan here staged a demonstration today demanding deferment of exams till mid-November.

Scores of class 11th students including girls assembled on the Srinagar-Leh highway at Ganiwan and held a protest demanding deferment of their annual examinations, witnesses told Local Media Persons.

The protesting students said that the exams should be deferred to mid-November so that they could complete their syllabus and appear in exams without any stress.

The protesting students also blocked the vehicular moment on Srinagar Leh highway to press their demand.

โ€œWe have not completed our syllabus yet but the government is adamant to hold our exams as per their own convenience. We wonโ€™t be able to perform better in exams,โ€ the protesting students said.
