Kupwara: A 50-year-old woman died in a road accident in Langate area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Tuesday.
A police official said that Saleema Begum was critically injured after the motorcycle she was riding as a pillion was hit by a lorry at main market Langate
She was rushed to Sub-district hospital Langate where the doctors declared her brought dead, said the official.
The deceased was a resident of Safalpora Qaziabad, he said, adding that another person who was riding the motorcycle sustained minor injuries in the accident.
Police has registered a case and taken up the investigation, he said
