Srinagar: Six persons were injured, one of them critically, in a road accident in Pattan area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district last night.

Reports said an ambulance heading towards Handwara collided with a private car near ITI Pattan, resulting in injuries to six persons, including the driver of the ambulance.

The ambulance driver, identified as Manzoor Ahmad Khan of Gund Razak Khan Haril Handwara, was shifted to Srinagar in a critical condition.

The other injured were identified as Mohd Rafiq Chak, Hajira Bano,  Sonallulah Ahmed Dar, Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Dar and Mubeena Begum — all residents of Handwara.

They were rushed to SDH Pattan where from Mohd Rafiq Chak and Hajira Bano were referred to SDH Sopore for specialised treatment.
