Srinagar, May 23 : The death toll due to deadly Coronavirus mounted to 21 in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday as one more positive patient died at Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) Soura.
Medical superintendent SKIMS, Dr Farooq Jan told news agency KINS, that A 55-year-old woman from Urnhal area of south Kashmir, who had tested positive for COVID-19, died at the SKIMS Soura on Saturday. He said the woman was admitted to the hospitalโ€™s isolation facility and had underlying ailments including chest infection.
With the fresh death, the toll due to the coronavirus in Jammu and Kashmir has risen to 21. The Srinagar districtโ€™s toll to 6, highest in any district, followed by Baramulla 4, Anantnag 5, Budagm 2 while one death each has been reported in Bandipora, Kulgam, Udhampur, and Jammu. (KINS)
