Bandipora, Feb 01: At least forty (45) sheep worth lakhs of rupees were stolen in Naidkhai village of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

The victims family member Mohd Yousuf Lone told News Agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that unknown burglars broke into the cowshed of Abdul Wahab Lone in Bathipora area of Naidkhai village and decamped with 45 sheep.

Lone said the incident occurred during the intervening night of January 31- Feb 1.

He said “Thieves might have used a heavy motor vehicle for the purpose, adding that stolen sheeps were all of the local breed.

The family is on way to the Police Station Sumbal to lodge a complaint regarding the theft, he added. (KDC
