Sumbal, Apr 03: Assistant Regional Transport officer (ARTO) Bandipora on Saturday intensified checking in Sumbal area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district and challaned several vehicles during the drive.
An official told News Agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that a team headed by ARTO Bandipora, Suhaib Ahmad, Inspector Abdul Hamid and others conducted an extensive checking at Sumbal-Hajin route and imposed fine on the traffic violators.
“On specific complaints from Public for overcharging of sumo fare from passengers ARTO Bandipora realised a fine of Seven thousan five hundred (75000) ,” he said.
ARTO also warned drivers of severe consequences, who have indulged in charging extra fare from the public in the district.
Moreover, road safety tips were imparted among the bikers at various spots during the intensive checking. (KDC)
