Srinagar: A brave heart who was critically injured while saving some members of a family trapped inside a torched house in Shadab Colony Ahmed Nagar on last Friday succumbed to his injuries in Srinagar hospital on Thursday.

Aqib Nazir Malik (21) along with his friend Manzoor Ahmed had put their lives at risk while trying to save some trapped members of a family, whose houses had caught fire in Shadab Colony Ahmed Nagar in the outskirts of Srinagar city.

Both Aqib and Manzoor had suffered injuries during their rescuing attempt and were shifted to SKIMS Srinagar for treatment. A doctor told CNS that Aqib succumbed to his injuries on Thursday morning while his friend Manzoor Ahmed is out of danger. Large number of people participated in the last rites of the brave heart who was doing MBA from Kashmir University. (CNS)
