Jammu, April 28: The Jammu and Kashmir Government Thursday appointed top bureaucrat, B B Vyas as new Chief Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir.
B.B Vyas, IAS (JK: 86) earlier served as Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti.
Notably, Vyas has also served as principal Secretary to former Chief Minister Mufti Muhammad Sayeed and his predecessor, Omar Abdullah.
He said that he will work towards development of both Jammu and Kashmir in every sector. He said that he will stand on the expectations of people and never let them down.
B.B Vyas is presently also posted as Financial Commissioner, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister and Administrative Secretary of Planning and Development Department, Disaster Management, Relief Rehabilitation and Reconstruction, Information, Hospitality and Protocol and Civil Aviation and Estates Department.
B.B Vyas is widely respected and known for his honesty, integrity and dedication to public service. He has also the distinction of being one of the most nonaligned and uncontroversial bureaucrats with no regional or religious prejudices.
