SRINAGAR: Pakistan president Mamnoon Hussain on Monday urged world community to take notice of “human rights violations” in Jammu and Kashmir.

Reports said that addressing an Iftaar hosted in the honor of Ambassadors of different countries in Islamabad last evening, Mamnoon Hussain highlighted the Issue of Kashmir urging India to “cooperate” with the United Nations and International Community to resolve this lingering issue.

“Kashmiri people must be given their fundamental right to self-determination,” he said while addressing the diplomats of various countries.

Urging the international community to take notice of “rights violations” in Kashmir, he called on India to resume dialogue process to resolve all outstanding issues with Pakistan including Kashmir.

The Pakistan president in his address also said religious teachings provide a good road map to discourage the menace of “terrorism and extremism”.
