Srinagar: A Delhi court on Wednesday sent the incarcerated chairman of Democratic Freedom Party Shabir Ahmad Shah to Tihar jail on 14-day judicial remand.

Shah was arrested last month in a decade-old fabricated case by the Enforcement Directorate.

A party spokesperson in a statement issued to press expressed serious concern over the continuous detention of Shabir Ahmad Shah and his deteriorating health condition and said Indian authorities are trying to implicate the resistance leader in a case in which he was free by a court ten years ago.

โ€œIndian authorities wonโ€™t get anything by resorting to such measures,โ€ he said.
