Anantnag: Home Minister Rajnath Singh, today reiterated that he is willing to have discussion with anyone with an open heart to bring peace to the Valley.
He also appealed to the people to come forward to have a discussion if they have any complaints.
Interacting the Jammu and Kashmir Police here, Rajnath said Kashmir will be rid of violence and will become heaven again, adding no power in the world can stop this from happening.
“I appeal to everyone to come forward to have a discussion. If you have any complaints or qualms, I am ready to have talks with an open heart..Kashmir will get rid of violence and will become heaven again. No power in the world can stop this from happening,” he said.
Talking about police officer ASI Abdul Rashid, who was shot dead by militants in an attack in Srinagar on Tuesday, he said he was upset to see his daughter crying.
“I saw image of ASI Abdul Rashid’s daughter Zohra. After seeing her teary-eyed face, my heart cannot stop feeling her pain.” Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh today said that the Centre has released adequate funds for procurement of bullet proof vehicles, vests and latest equipments for Jammu and Kashmir Police.
Singh, who arrived in Kashmir yesterday on a four-day visit to the state, visited the District Police Lines (DPL) and CRPF camp in south Kashmir district Anantnag today. He was accompanied by the Stateโs Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Kumar Singh and Union Home Secretary Rajiv Gauba.
Singh also paid rich tributes to Constable Imtiyaz Ahmed, who was killed in a militant attack on a police patrol yesterday barely a kilometer away from the venue of todayโs meeting of the Union Home Minister at the J&K Police Lines. The Home Minister also paid tribute to Assistant Sub Inspector Abdul Rasheed, who was martyred in a militant attack in Anantnag last month. โThis is not an ordinary sacrifice, this is the supreme sacrifice,โ said Mr Singh, addressing the J&K Police personnel.
โI am short of words to salute your bravery in the line of duty, even the Prime Minister has praised your courage,โ he added.
The Union Home Minister said itโs not only the J&K State, but the whole nation is proud of the bravery and valour of the Security Forces in facing the terrorism sponsored by the neighbouring country.
Mr Singh said the Government is fully aware of the extremely challenging circumstances the Police and Security Forces are working under, and is making all out efforts for the security and welfare of the Police and Paramilitary personnel.
He said a trauma centre has been sanctioned and bullet proof vehicles will be provided at all police stations in the State. The Union Home Minister said the Centre has also released adequate funds for procurement of bullet proof vehicles vests and latest equipments for Police Stations.
The Union Home Minister said that the nation is indebted to the supreme sacrifices and no amount of money can compensate these sacrifice.
He said we will again make J&K into a โheaven on earthโ and no force can stop the country from achieving this goal.
Mr Singh said this is his fifth visit to the State within the space of a year.
Reiterating the commitment of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Union Home Minister assured that the Centre will provide all assistance to the State, including resolving the Housing problem of the jawans.
The Union Home Minister later addressed a Sainik Sammelan at the CRPF 90 Battalion Camp in Anantnag. โCourage is not something that can be bought from the market; you are born with unassailable and unmatched courage,โ he said.
Assuring that the Centre is ready to extend more facilities to the CRPF personnel, Mr Singh said the Government will consider providing helicopter services to the CRPF personnel in J&K. The Union Home Minister said, โIt is my aim to provide at least Rs.1 crore to the families of our martyrs from the CAPFs.โ
He said the Government launched the โBharat ke Veerโ portal to support the families of our martyrs and the nation as a whole has given tremendous support to their cause.
The Union Home Minister also interacted with the J&K Police and CRPF personnel.
Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh also said his aim is to provide Rs one crore as monetary relief to the families of personnel of central armed forces killed on duty.
Addressing a Sainik Sammelan at the Khanabal headquarters of the 90th battalion of CRPF, the Union Home Minister said, “It is my aim that at least Rs one crore should be given as monetary relief to families of martyrs of our central armed forces personnel.
“We are also considering helicopters services to CRPF in J&K,” he added.
