New Delhi, Sept 26  Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday invited French companies to take advantage of the improving business climate and growing investment opportunities in India.
France, he noted, was one of India’s Top 10 sources of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).
His remarks were addressed to Pierre Gattaz, President of MEDEF (Mouvement des Entreprises de France) who called on him here.
Mr Gattaz briefed the Prime Minister about growing trade and investment relations between India and France.
Mr Modi fondly recalled his visit to France in April 2015 during which he interacted with a number of French business leaders, and appreciated the invaluable contribution of business leaders from both countries in strengthening the bilateral ties between India and France over the years, a Prime Minister’s Office statement here said.
