Jammu, Sept 26 : Security has been enhanced in this winter capital of Jammu and Kashmir with festive season round the corner.
While the festival of Navratri is in progress and tight security is already in place particularly in Katra town—the base camp of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Cave Shrine but the grid has been tightened further in view coming festivals.
‘’This year, festivals are falling in the months of September and October and in view of that, security is put in place for smooth and incident free celebrations,’ a police officer here today said.
He said Navratras are in progress, which will be followed by Ram Navami falling on September 29 and the very next day on September 30, Dussehra will be celebrated.
‘Besides security arrangements, traffic advisories have also been issued to avoid mess in the town,’ he added. UNI
