Srinagar, Nov 17: The J&K government Friday announced winter vacations in Kashmir recognized government/private schools and those in winter zone of Jammu division.
An official spokesman said that the last working day upto 8th standard shall be 2 December 2017 and the winter vacation shall be observed from 4 December 2017 to 3 March 2018.
He added that the last working day of classes of Class 9th onwards shall be 9 December 2017 and the winter vacation shall be observed from 11 December 2017 to 24 February 2018.
“Any default on the part of school authorities in observance of the winter vacation calendar shall invite action under rules,” the spokesman said. (CNS)
