Jammu, Jan 10 : The pilgrimage to world famous Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Cave Shrine was suspended on the new battery car track on Wednesday when a fire broke out in the forest area of Trikuta Hills.

 “Jungle fire broke out on Wednesday morning near Adh Kuwari area,” an official here said.

He said the yatra has been temporarily suspended from new battery car as preventive measure. “The pilgrimage is in progress from old traditional track.”

“Men are on job to douse the flames and yatra will resume from the new track once the fire is controlled,” he added.Presently, around 25,000 to 30,000 pilgrims from across the country are arriving Katra base camp daily to perform yatra to the Bhawan.
