Srinagar, Jan 29 :Train service remained suspended for the second day on Monday for security reasons in south Kashmir, where two youths were killed and nine others were injured after Army personnel resorted to firing to disperse demonstrators in Shopian on Saturday.

Meanwhile, train service has been resumed today after remaining suspended for security reasons yesterday, when separatists had called for a general strike against Shopian killings.

However, Army said that fire was opened by troops after they came under heavy stone pelting in which a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) and seven other soldiers were injured while government has ordered a magisterial inquiry into the incident and police has registered a case.
