Chennai : Continuing with its digital literacy initiative aimed at empowering rural Indian women, Google India and Tata Trusts on Wednesday announced expansion of its ‘Internet Saathi’ program in Tamil Nadu.

It was launched by State IT Minister Dr M.Manikandan in the presence of IT Secretary T K Ramachandran, TNeGA Commissioner Anandrao V Patil and Elcot Director R Sudalaikannan.

Google India and the Tamil Nadu Government also announced other initiatives to support the digitization efforts in the state.
