Baramulla, Feb 11 : Restrictions Authorities have imposed restrictions in parts of frontier district of Kupwara in north Kashmir on the death anniversary of founder of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Mohammad Maqbool Bhat, who was hanged and later buried in Delhiโ€™s Tihar jail on this day in 1984.

Meanwhile, hundreds of people, mostly youths, joined flambeau protest march in Trehgam, home town of Bhat on Saturday evening. After marching through different streets, the march ended peacefully.

All roads leading to Trehgam, Kupwara, have been closed with barbed wire. Additional security forces and state police personnel have been deployed to foil any procession or demonstration in the town.
