Srinagar, Apr 27: Police today arrested a timber smuggler from Budgam District.
A Police party from Police Station Khag today while patrolling in the Hamchipora area apprehended a timber smuggler Abdul Hameed Khokher son of Ali Mohammed Khokher resident of Shuplain, Khag who was carrying timber illicitly brought from the forest area of Budgam on his horse Cart. The illicit timber and the horse cart used for ferrying the timber has been seized.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 21/2018 under section 379/RPC, 6 Forest Act stands registered in Police Station Khag and investigation taken up.
