New Delhi, Apr 29: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday urged the students and younger generation to join the government’s Swachh Bharat Summer Internship for the greater success of cleanliness drive in the country.
In his monthly Mann-Ki-Baat radio broadcast over All India Radio, the Prime Minister said the Swachh Bharat Summer Internship is a joint venture of three Ministries of the Central government, including Sports, Human Resource Development and Drinking Water.
“The Swachh Bharat Summer Internship 2018 will give a further boost to the country’s much-ambitious Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, as we march ahead to celebrate the 150th Birth Anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi,” he said.
In his broadcast, Mr Modi made a special reference to the spectacular performance of Indian contingent at the recently-held Commonwealth Games in Australia. India pulled off its one of the best ever medal count of 66, including 26 gold, at the CWG 2018, held in Gold Coast, Australia.(UNI)
