New Delhi, Apr 29:Former Union Minister and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) founder leader Sharad Pawar has been elected unanimously for the seventh consecutive time as the party chief.
This information was given in a statement here by the NCP General Secretary and party’s chairman of Central Election Authority, TP Peethambaran Master.
According to the statement, Mr Pawar has been elected unanimously for three years from 2018-20 after 15 nomination papers submitted by national delegates from different states proposed his name for the post. There were no other candidates for the post.
His term as national president will be formalised at the national convention scheduled to be held on June 10 in Pune.(UNI)
