Srinagar, May 7,: A petition has been filed before the State Human Rights Commission appealing its investigation wing to conduct a probe into the killing of a Srinagar youth by a police driver.

The petition has been filed by Chairman International Forum for Justice and Human Rights.

The petitioner has said that a youth Adil Ahmed Yadoo of Ghasi Mohalla Noorbagh was intentionally crushed to death by a police driver and action should be initiated against him without any delay.

“Even after the killing of Adil, the police was in denial mode and lied that he was killed in a road accident. However, the video showing police vehicle crushing Adil to death punctured the balloon of police.”

The petitioner has prayed that instant and appropriate order should be given for the investigation of this gruesome murder.
