Srinagar, May 7: Working president of the main opposition National Conference (NC) Omar Abdullah on Monday alleged that people of the Kashmir valley are paying price with their blood for Mehbooba Mufti to remain chief minister and “ partner in crime”.
Omar was reacting to a tweet by Mehbooba Mufti which reads, “The loss of five innocent civilians in Shopian serves as a grim reminder that violence is no solution to the issues that plague us. We all must unite and pull J&K out of this endless nightmare by engaging in sustained and meaningful dialogue” .
Taking to micro-blogging site twitter Omar Abdullah said “Your tweet has a hollow ring to it. At least your brother was more honest than you. This blood is the price Kashmiris are paying for you to remain CM and for PDP and BJP to remain “partners in crime”.
He was referring to comment of CM’s brother Tasaduq Mufti in which he had said that “his party (PDP) ended up being partners (PDP-BJP) in a crime for which an entire generation of Kashmiris who might have to pay with their blood.

Abdullah further tweeted, “ One question though, as the state Home Minister and head of the Unified Command you have admitted these boys are “innocent civilians” so who will be charged and hanged for their cold blooded murder? Or should I be asking @HMOIndia this question?.
Meanwhile, the NC leaders and supporters on Monday hit the streets in Srinagar against the civilian killing in the valley.
