Srinagar: Muslims in Bhaderwah observed a complete shutdown on Wednesday against the civilian killings in Kashmir.

Reports said that all the shops and business establishments remained shut while skeletal movement of the transport was observed on the roads.

The private schools operated by Muslims also remained shut while thin attendance had been reported in government educational institutions.

The call for shutdown has been forwarded by Anjuman Islamia Bhadarwah.

President, Anjuman Islamia Bhadarwah Parvez Ahmed Sheikh blamed Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and Kashmir based politicians for civilian killings in Kashmir. He said Kashmir based politicians are hand in glove with security agencies who derive pleasure in killing innocent civilians.

He blamed security agencies for the killing of tourist in Kashmir. “There are multiple security agencies operating in Kashmir which can go to any extent to defame Kashmir Movement,” he said and lamented that nobody condemned the killing of a civilian who was crushed to death by a police driver.

Sheikh said that people of Chenab Valley will always support and advocate the Cause of people of Kashmir. “We express solidarity with the people of Kashmir and our sympathies are with those families who lost their kiths and kins in Forces action,” he said. (CNS)
