Srinagar, May 13: The historic 86-km-long Mughal road was closed again due to fresh landslides, triggered by heavy rain during the past 24 hours while the Kashmir and Ladakh highways are through for traffic.
A traffic police official told UNI on Sunday that Mughal road, connecting Shopian in south Kashmir with Rajouri and Poonch in Jammu region, was closed again following fresh landslides.
He said the administration has already started work to clear the landslides and put through the traffic. However, traffic will be resumed only after a green signal from traffic officials posted at several places, he added.
