Srinagar: Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah on Tuesday quoted a term from William Shakespeare’s play “Et tu” to describe the results of Karnataka polls, in which BJP emerged as the single largest party.

Junior Abdullah took to micro blogging website Twitter to react over the verdict. “Et tu #Karnataka,” he tweeted.

The words ‘Et tu’ meaning ‘even you’ are generally used to describe surprise or dismay. ‘Et tu (Brute)’ line was spoken by Julius Caesar in a William Shakespeare play at the time of assassination of his friend Junius Brutus.
