Srinagar, May 18 Even though the security forces are already on high alert in Kashmir, including summer capital, Srinagar, due to increase in militant activities, a fresh advisory has been issued to field commanders to keep a strict vigil during the two-day visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the state from Saturday.
Director General of Border Security Force K K Sharma told reporters in Jammu on Wednesday that five infiltrators sneaked into Hiranagar sector probably through a tunnel on Sunday night and efforts are on to detect and neutralise them.
Security forces have been deployed in strength in sensitive areas in the Valley to maintain law and order
and to prevent any militant attack.
Riot place have also been deployed to prevent any demonstration by separatists on Saturday, when they had called for “ Lal Chowk” challo against the Prime Minister’s visit.
Mr Modi is scheduled to visit Jammu and Kashmir for two days from Saturday to lay foundation stone of
Rs 939.
