Bengaluru, May 22 : Former Prime Minister and Janata Dal (Secular) National President H D Devegowda on Tuesday clarified that he will not interfere in the formation or functioning of the Congress-JDS Coalition Government headed by his son H D Kumaraswamy, who is scheduled to take Oath as Chief Minister tomorrow in front of Vidhana Soudha, the State Secretariat where special arrangements were made on the steps.
Mr Devegowda said he is coming out with the clarification as reports are appearing in a section of media to the effect that he may be acting behind the curtain to have control over the Coalition Government and influence in formation of next Cabinet.
He further clarified that he was not behind formation of Coalition Government nor any major decisions taken by the two parties or in the setting up of the Coordination Committee.
