Srinagar: At least 20 persons sustained pellet injuries during clashes between protesters and government forces in Nowhatta area of Srinagar after Friday prayers culminated in Jamia Masjid.
Witnesses said that many tear smoke shells and pellets exploded inside the jamia premises injuring at least 20.
Announcement about the injuring of more than 20 was made repeatedly through jamia loudspeaker. They alleged that police were not allowing shifting of injured to hospital by closing all exits.Agencies
