Srinagar: Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Thursday thanked the Civil Aviation Minister Suresh Prabhu for scrapping the mandatory baggage identification by the travelers at the airports in Jammu and Kashmir.
Mehbooba said that such a decision from the government of India (GoI) will go a long way in lessening the inconvenience and enhancing the travel experience.
She also stated that she would request him to look into airline ticket pricing to J&K to ease the burden for budget travelers.

Earlier, the Civil Aviation ministry in GoI scrapped the mandatory baggage identification by travelers at the airports in all the regions of the state.
Baggage identification after check-in was mandatory for travelers at Srinagar, Leh and Jammu airports. (Agencies)
