Ganderbal: A soldier posted at Surfraw Kangan area in Ganderbal district allegedly shot himself dead with his service rifle on Saturday morning, reports said.
Reports said that the soldier as Havaldar Rajpal Singh(No:15467450 K unit 3 cavalry) son of Rouf Singh resident of Kanpur Bihar and was posted at 24 Rashtriya Rifles.
The soldier’s colleagues rushed to him after they heard the gunshot and found him lying in a pool of blood, Police Official quoting his colleagues said.
A case has been registered at police station Gund.
