Hardoi, Jun 5 : At least seven labourers were killed and as many injured in a tractor-trolley and truck collision in Mallava area of the district, police said on Tuesday.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Vipin Kumar Mishra said that the accident occurred on Monday night when labourers, all natives of Bilgram, were returning from Kannauj after completion of construction work.
The tractor-trolley, in which they were travelling was hit by a truck near Chapartala village on Hardoi-Kannauj highway, resulting in on the spot death of seven of them and injuries to as many.
The deceased were identified as Rakesh, Ahirwan, Kallu, Vilas, Awadhesh, Ramchela and Buddy.
The injured were rushed to hospital.
