India, Myanmar discuss bilateral issues

New Delhi, Jun 8 : India and Myanmar have reviewed the complete range of bilateral relations that include high level visits, security and defence, among others.
From Indian side Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale and U Myint Thu, Permanent Secretary in Myanmar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs participated in the discussions here on Thursday, the Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement.
During the discussions, the representatives of both countries also held talks on issues relating to boundary, border management, trade and commerce, development cooperation, connectivity, cultural and consular matters.
It was the 17th round of Foreign Office Consultations between both the nations.
They also exchanged views on sub-regional, regional and global issues of mutual interest.
During his stay in India, the Myanmar Permanent Secretary will also visit places of historical and cultural significance in the capital, it added.
