BJP eyeing ’65 plus’ seats in Chhattisgarh: Amit Shah

Ambikapur, Chhattisgarh, June 11 : Bharatiya Janata Party President Amit Shah today said that the BJP is eyeing on winning ’65 plus’ seats in coming Chhattisgarh assembly polls.
Mr Shah, who was on a two-day visit to Chhattisgarh, made the statement while talking to reporters before departing for New Delhi.
“The state regime is working constantly towards curbing Naxalism. Consequently, the Bastar Region is becoming free of the menace gradually,” he said.
Mr Shah said that the country is steadily marching on the path of development under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Likewise, the Chhattisgarh Government has done notable work towards the upliftment of farmers, youths and women.
Training guns on the Congress, he said that the BJP regime is transforming the country whereas the Congress had pushed the nation behind.
While agreeing that the Opposition has a role to play in democracy, Mr Shah said, “Saving the Congress is the responsibility of Rahulji not mine.”
