Agartala, Jun 15 : The West Bengal Governor, Keshari Nath Tripathi today takes additional charge of Tripura, as incumbent governor of the state Tathagata Roy left for US on a month long vacation.
The Chief Justice of High Court of Tripura Ajay Rastogi has administered oath to Tripathi at a simple function in Raj Bhawan.
After arrival here yesterday, Tripathi was given guard of honour at Raj Bhawan by TSR jawans.
The Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb and senior ministers of the cabinet welcomed Tripathi in the airport as well as in the Raj Bhawan.
